COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – Danish broadcaster and the host of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, DR, will announce the ten acts that will participate in the national Eurovision selection “Dansk Melodi Grand Prix” on January 26.
DR has selected ten songs among the 687 submitted. The show will be held in Aalborg on February 7 at the Gigantium, which last hosted the national selection in 2012.
This year there were some 200 fewer songs submitted to DR, which was expected since the country hosted Eurovision in 2014 which always leads to a spike in interest.
DR has said it will focus on the quality of the song this year, rather than the quantity and has released a new logo for the national selection.
